Christmas Lunch at 16ème Ouest

Christmas started at the Anglophone lunch on December 9th! After a welcome drink and the purchasing of squares of France, and the surrounding sea, in pursuit of hidden
treasure…

…we all sat down to a delicious meal, attentively served by the restaurant staff.

In order to make room for the next course, Rod organised a game of “heads and tails” This entailed some standing up and sitting down, necessary exercise in order to both aide digestion and to ensure we could do justice to the magnificent Bûche de Noël!
The winners of each round were able to take away one of Annette Leblanc’s lovely table decorations.  The other two were auctioned off for our charities.

A draw of the names of individuals who had completed questionnaires was made and the winner of the bottle of wine (of a type sold in Gordon Ramsey’s restaurant) was won by Jill Purslow.

Altogether I think we can say that it was a great start to the festive season and I hope that you all had a very enjoyable Christmas, whatever you did.

Hope to see you at the events we have planned for 2012!
