A guided tour of Pointe d’Agon

Pizza lunch followed by the tour a guided tour of Pointe d’Agon. The tour is in English and is provided by le Pays d'art et d'histoire du Coutançais (PAHC), the local association which, supported by the Ministry of Culture and also the Regional Directorate of cultural affairs, enables residents to discover their local architectural and cultural heritage. Book Club -June

Our group continues to meet every month to six weeks, and its members enjoy exploring books, authors and genres that they may not have thought to choose themselves. It definitely broadens literary horizons and usually generates lively discussion! Our latest book is 2084 by Boualem Sansal, winner of the French Academy Grand Prix 2016. June Walk

Our last walk until September is on Monday 25 June. For this one as it is high summer we thought a picnic would be nice for a change. The walk is at La Feuillie, between Coutances and Lessay. This is an unchallenging walk, ideal for a hot summer's day. It takes us out of the village alongside the river Ay, returning through lanes and woods with views of the surrounding pretty countryside. Fête Nationale

July 14

The Anglophone celebrations for Le Fête Nationale is always a popular event with members. We meet up for a buffet lunch, which is followed by the annual boules tournament.
