What we lacked in numbers for our walk and picnic in the forest, we more than made up for in enjoyment, although it’s hard to say who enjoyed it the most – the six of us humans or the six accompanying dogs!
We began with tea and pastries in St Sever Calvados, then headed off to the Hermitage for our forest circuit.
The weather, though not sunny, stayed fine, the dogs quickly made friends and an hours walk built up our appetites nicely.
We tucked into an imaginative picnic in a quiet spot near the Hermitage, and had finished and cleared up
before the afternoon rain came.
It was a super ending to our season of summer walks.
